Dental check-up

When was the last time you had your teeth checked? If it's been a few years since your last visit, it's time to get checked!

It's a good idea to have your teeth checked regularly, even if you don't notice any symptoms in your mouth. Many changes occur insidiously.

During a dental examination, the doctor will examine the teeth for possible signs of decay, chips, wear, and the condition of the teeth. The bite and the condition of the gums and oral mucosa will also be examined.

Travelers should also make an appointment if they experience sudden sensations in their mouth!

When should I have my teeth checked?

Adults should have a check-up every one to two years on average, or as directed by a doctor: for example, more frequent monitoring is sometimes necessary in the case of certain underlying diseases.

An inspection is also necessary if you notice, among other things, the following changes:

• tenderness, sensitivity to heat or cold
• bad breath that doesn't improve with home treatment
• bleeding, redness, or receding gums
• in the bite of a chip, dent or change
• a visible hole or darkening
• problems with the fit of the prosthesis or the position.
