Congestion, pressure, even hearing loss? There are many reasons why your ear can feel blocked, but the most common is a buildup of wax in your ear canal. Ear irrigation is a simple procedure that can safely remove wax buildup.


Before rinsing, we examine the ear and make sure it is the right option. For example, if the eardrum has previously ruptured or if the cause is an ear infection, different treatment is needed.


So come to the reception without delay, and we will find out what will make up for the trouble!

Before ear irrigation

  • It is not recommended to use cotton swabs or other tools before your visit, as they can push the wax deeper.
  • If you have recently had an ear infection, please tell your doctor about it.
  • If your ear is easily irritated or you have had a previous ruptured eardrum, mention this.

After rinsing

  • Mild soreness or a feeling of wetness in the ear is common and usually goes away quickly.
  • For the first day, avoid using headphones, cotton swabs, and strong water pressure in the shower.
  • After rinsing, we will provide instructions on how to prevent wax buildup and whether it is worth repeating the ear rinsing.
  • If the pain continues, the fever rises, or there is a wet discharge from the ear, please contact us.
